There’s the award winning French photographer Sophie Gamand who is helping to change the FACE and Perception of Pit Bulls throughout the world with her FLOWER POWER photographs. Sophie travelled to shelters across the USA, photographing over 300 Pitbulls adorned with her homemade flower crowns. These dogs have gone from scary to sweet in a heartbeat. Sophie also authored WET DOG, a humerous look at dogs being bathed. Nigerian Columnist, youth activist Esther Ijewere – Kalejaiye is the founder of W.A.R Walk Against Rape, an advocacy initiative created to lend a voice for the victims of rape and demand justice for the perpetrator’s, an initiative endorsed by the Lagos State Ministry Of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. With 3 out of 4 women being the victim of Rape in Nigeria, it helps them come forward now, knowing that their perpetrators will receive stiff jail sentences, thanks to her hard work. Esther also runs a very popular colomn in the Guardian, known as Woman of Rubies. She is the Author of Breaking the Silence.
