Dr Yvonne Pepin Wakefield is an author, artist and animal advocate. She also holds a doctorate in Human Organizational Systems.
Her book Babe in the Woods is the true story of how a 98 pound girl set out to build a log cabin at the age of 18, on a mountainside in Oregon with land she purchased from her inheritance as an orphan.
Babe in the Woods: Building a Life One Log at a Time is her story of that wilderness experience. 4 decades later, a Suitcase Filled with Nails: Lessons Learned from Teaching Art in Kuwait is her true story of 6 years of teaching art to wealthy young woman in a College where normal rules of professionalism do not apply.
Yvonne loved teaching these young woman but found challenges with the way the country and her colleagues treated her.
She had extraordinary adventures and both books are incredibly entertaining.
