Ayesha Chundrigar may look like a Super Model, but she is actually the founder of the ACF ANimal Rescue- The Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation. The ACF is the first of its kind in Pakistan, where Ayesha’s staff will pick up unwanted, injured or abandoned animals all over Karachi.
Ayesha’s worked in England as a humanistic psychotherapist and as a result, has a special place in her heart for what she calls ” the acid burn survivors, orphans and people and children with disabilities, for whom she worked pro bono. She also employs them at the ACF. She also has her Masters in Broadcast Journalism and worked in this field in England as well.
Ever since she was a little girl, Ayesha has loved animals and been saving them. She states that she doesn’t know head or tails of running an NGO or how big it would become, she just knew she had to save animals and so took the plunge into the unknown and began something that has never been done in her country before.
The ACF also offers education for Donkey owners to help alleviate the broken legs often associated with over burdering the animals as well as spay and neuter clinics. This is really important to me (* frankie) as I sponsor 6 Donkeys at the Donkey Sanctuary in Guelph.
