Host Frankie Picasso  interviews 2 incredible volunteers from the Blue Dot Movement, Kerry Mueller & Jim Marston from Canada. The premise for this movement is that every Canadian deserves the right to Clean Air and Clean Water. While this movement is Canadian based, please listen and see how you might take the ideas and goals and bring it to your country, your community.

The Blue Dot movement is a national grassroots campaign based on the idea that everyone in Canada deserves the right to a healthy environment, including clean air and water, and a say in decisions that affect our health and well-being.

Since 2014, more than 110,000 people across Canada have stood up to have this right recognized and protected, and it’s working! As a result of volunteer efforts, 173 municipalities have passed resolutions in support.

Based on this success, they  are now working to have these rights recognized in federal law, so all Canadians can benefit.

Ultimately, the goal is to  seek to amend the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms to include the right to a healthy environment, so that we can join the 110 countries around the world that already have this right included in their constitutions.
