Kim was appointed to the Diversity Committee for The council for Post Secondary Education for the State of Kentucky by the former gov Steve Beshear . was appointed to the Strategic Planningn committee for the Council for PSC and she currently is the Associate Director for Educational Opportunity Program and Guardian Scholars at CSUMB.

Currently, Kim is pursuing her pHD
